Saturday 7-Feb-09
Congratulations to Simon and Juliana!!~~~ They were having their BIG special day on this date at Tanjung Aru Beach Resort & Spa.
Their solemnization ceremony started at 4.30pm. So, me and Aunty SM went for our hair wash in the early am as early as 8.45am. To my surprise, saloon was already packed with aunties... hehe... no choice la... everyone also wanna stay pretty all the time... :P to my surprise again, Aunty SM actually also got her hair dyed and also done her manicure and pedicure.
Next, I went for a make-up session at Shiseido counter. The lady Cherry was so kind and nice to do me a free make-up. Prob becoz I have had bought quite a bit of cosmestic from her. The make-up was really wonderful and I looked rather different. (though "someone" commented on my make-up to be rather too dark, when everyone said nice and pretty???)
I waited for my aunty Jen to come back as we need to rush to hotel for hotel check-in and arranging bits and pieces for the solemnization ceremony + dinner banquet. The newly-wed couple only back from Australia on 2-Feb, so we were basically doing wedding arrangement for them.
Was bit late when we arrived at hotel as Aunty Jen brought Aunty L to get her make-up done. Immediately I went for check-in while Aunty J was arranging bits and pieces at the hall for solemnization ceremony. Rush and rush... everything was so perfect. Pas Dorothy also came to help.
Finally, guests arrived where the bride was already waiting for more than half an hr at the lobby, and the ceremony started. We next checked out the dinner banquet hall. Thing were done perfectly too. The refreshment for guest during tea reception was there on time too.
Though busy, we enjoyed the whole session too... in fact, I'm very happy for Simon and Juliana. They have finally settled down and found their loved one.
The dinner banquet went on very smoothly too. In fact, the groom has sang a song for the bride. She didn't know about it. It was a very romantic yet touching moment. Another touching moment, the bride and groom were both crying on the stage while giving their thank-you speech to the guests. The bride took the chance to thank his parents for every penny they spent on the wedding, of course their effort and love to them.
Yeah, it was so touching. I was being thanked too... my name was mentioned... :P I was actually quite envy of them. They have had found their loved one while I'm still looking for one. I was bit dreaming in the dinner. Caught back some hidden memories that we used to have at the resort. It was difficult to me. We used to walk at the beach front, had our 2yr anniversary at Peppino, had our 1st Valentine's Day walk and singing to each other there etc etc... just too much memories. I was still "suffering" from those memories yesterday at home... sighhh...
The couple took photos with some relatives after the guests have left. Then, we all proceed to their SUITE... it was so beautifully and romantically decorated. We let Baby Jedd played on their big bed, of course, he got angpows for doing so. We all unmarried one, again, made noise for angpows. The couple were distributing angpows to us, while the parents were busy packing angpows for them to "fulfill" our "request".
The Heng Dais were getting "hot", asking the groom to take off the bride's shirt. The bride's father immediately went in and stopped further "hot stunk" from going on. hehe... we all went home and only slept around 1am.
We all had panda eyes and so sleepy when we attended the Sunday morning prayer at church. :P
Congratulations again to the newly-wed couple, Simon and Juliana!!!~~~ All the best in your new chapter of life.
